T. D. Burke – "Dave" – has been with Comely Bank Publishing, and now Dean Park Press, since the earliest days. A former finance director, he now writes swashbuckling historical adventures that have been widely praised both for their page-turning plotting storytelling and historical accuracy.
His first book The Man from Outremer (2013) was set during the Crusades and the first Scottish War of Independence in 1303-04.

His latest novel, Scourge of the Vikings (2022) is set in Saxon and Viking Wessex in the 9th Century and has already drawn strong reviews.

Gordon Lawrie is the Founding Director of Comely Bank Publishing and also of its current imprint Dean Park Press. A former teacher, he began writing romantic comedy, starting with the successful Four Old Geezers and a Valkyrie (2012), and produced a couple of other novels before moving over to crime fiction in 2022 with the publication of The Midnight Visitor. Gordon's books are set in contemporary Edinburgh.

Gordon has also published one non-fiction title,
Self-Publishing – The Total Beginner's Guide (2020), which shines a light on how to navigate a path through the treacherous waters of the book business.

Gordon is also editor of the hugely popular online flash fiction publication
Friday Flash Fiction, which has attracted thousands of writers from across the English-speaking world.
