SCOURGE OF THE VIKINGS - T. D. Burke

Picture
Scourge of the Vikings is the first in T. D. Burke's Speardane series.

860 A.D: Ubbe Ragnarsson, son of Ragnar Lodbrok, leads a Viking raid deep into Wessex. Britnoth, a young Saxon, escapes but Gisela, his betrothed, is taken into a life of slavery.

Determined to rescue her, Britnoth follows his enemy to Brittany and joins the Bretons in their fight against Ragnarsson’s Speardanes.

After a failed attempt to rescue Gisela, Britnoth eventually marries a warlord’s daughter but his life is shattered once more by Ragnarsson. In his quest to gain revenge, Britnoth becomes a warrior in a world ruled by kings, bishops and warlords.
