Submit a story of 100 words or fewer (not including the title). The suggested theme is “world in union”, but it is only a suggestion and you are free to write on any topic you want. The prize is $50 USD (or the equivalent local currency) and is sponsored by Comely Bank Publishing. There is no entry fee and you can enter as often as you like.
This year’s judges are Comely Bank Publishing’s founder Gordon Lawrie and last year’s Christmas flash fiction competition winner, Alison McHarg.
Entries should be in the English language and the closing date is 23.59 GMT Sunday 20 December. The rights to all stories remain with the authors, but Friday Flash Fiction reserves the right to use the winning and highly commended stories for publicity purposes elsewhere.
To enter the competition, visit our sister website Friday Flash Fiction.
